課程概述	這是針對大學班學生所設計的醫療社會學進階課程，將將強調醫療人類學以及科技與社會研究的視野，藉此開拓研究醫療與社會的角度。
課程目標	這門課的課程設計，分為三大單元。第一單元「偏差、文化與社會苦痛」，並以愛滋與毒品作為深入探討的主題。第二個單元為「風險與醫療爭議研究」，將以風險分析與爭議研究作為主要探討主題。第三個單元為「新興醫療/健康改革」，將討論針對醫療與健康照護制度的改變路徑。這堂課將以接近研究所的小班討論形式進行。除了每週的專題討論之外，這門進階課程也強調訓練同學獨立進行研究報告，並將以田野工作以及檔案資料分析的方式，深化同學的研究能力。
課程要求	本課程學生參與的部分分為三部分。（一）參與課堂討論。每堂課都有指定閱讀教材，請事先閱讀，並撰寫一頁心得，於事前以email傳給所有同學以及授課老師，以利於課堂進行討論。（二）每位同學將獨立進行一份一萬字的研究報告。每位同學先於4月15日在課堂上進行研究計畫書報告，並繳交三頁的研究計畫書，內容包括前言、文獻探討、研究問題以及研究方法等部分。報告前必須與授課老師之一約談討論研究方向與研究設計。期末時將發表研究發現。除了書面資料外，需以PPT的方式進行報告。另外則將期末報告的研究提問與發現，以一頁的立委質詢稿形式改寫，具體練習學術知識如何與政策參與扣連。（三）本學期有四個與課程相關的研討會，請同學積極參與，我們並會在課堂進行相關準備與研討。本堂課的評分方式為：每週課前閱讀心得與課堂參與（50%）、期末報告（50%）。
